My story starts as a high school entrepreneur: through a special charity project, I was able to leverage an initial seed donation & my existing customer base to triple the amount donated to building a clean-water well in Uganda. It was that experience that truly sparked my interest in the intersection of entrepreneurship & social impact.
This passion is what led me to the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, where I pursued both Finance & Marketing along with Civic Scholars certification. In order to bolster my analytical skills, I worked for over 2 years in investment banking before I decided to revisit the passions I had before.
In 2016, I joined the team at Quarter Zero (formerly Catapult Ideas), a startup incubator for high school entrepreneurs. By being a core team member of a growing startup, I found a new opportunity to bring my “whole self” to the table.
I have been able to tap into my quantitative skill set, but also leverage my innate qualitative perspective. I have strengthened my ability to operationalize and systematize processes, but also flex my creativity with innovative solutions. I have found ways to make old routes more efficient, but also build new projects from the ground up.
Beyond that, being at QØ has allowed me to develop an area I’ve always had a special interest in: growing a team. Mentoring and leading other team members has allowed me to flex my leadership style, strengthen my communication skills, and heighten my emotional intelligence. I get joy out of guiding a team member and helping them figure out their next steps on a journey - whether it’s project based or personal.
This is who I am. And wherever this journey takes me, I will always bring my whole self.
